Loader Backhoe
The loader backhoe, more commonly known as the “backhoe”, is the most versatile piece of heavy equipment at the construction site. It can do the following:
- dig a trench, from 8″ wide to 6′ wide, and up to 21′ deep
- grade a concrete pad
- load dump trucks with dirt, concrete, asphalt, or rubbish
- clean up a construction site of waste materials with the clam bucket
- drill holes, up to 3.5′ in diameter, 12′ deep with the auger attachment
- compact the earth with a free-rolling compaction wheel
- break concrete, rock, or asphalt with the breaker/hammer attachment
- load and unload construction materials with the forklift attachment
