The mini-excavator works like a standard size excavator, but is much smaller in size. The mini excavator is ideal for tight areas, where a backhoe cannot fit. It also has a blade to push dirt. Another quality of the min-excavator is the ability to swing 360 degrees and dig from any angle.
The mini-excavator comes in many sizes, from 28″ wide to 60″ wide – some of these machines can squeeze in between a standard doorway and work inside buildings. There are some mini-excavators that can run on electric power, creating zero emissions.
